Answered: The reset part worked but still is asking me to confirm the pattern but I forgot it.

Hello' Please try this:

1. Insert a SIM card that have internet data bundles
2. Turn on your Hisense U601
3. Draw a wrong pattern for 5 times or until you are given 30 seconds for retry.
4. Wait for the 30 seconds count down.
5. Touch "FORGOT PATTERN" below the emergency call button.
6. Log in to your google account (google account that is associated with this phone)
7. Done.

Once you are logged in to your google account'  the forgotten pattern will be resetted to default
